Background
- Holds a Bachelor of Political Science (Hons) from the University of Portsmouth, UK (1996) and a Diploma in Public Administration from ITM.[1]
- A career land administrator: assistant land administrator in Kluang (1997-2000) and Segamat (2000-2006), then Rengit assistant district officer (2006-2011), followed by various Johor state government posts (2012-2018).[1]
- Won the 2011 Tenang by-election for BN with 69% of the vote (majority 3,707), defeating PAS's Normala Sudirman.[2]
- Now an independent non-executive director of Boustead Plantations Berhad (since 2022).[1]
- Son of Ibrahim Daud, a former Tenang assemblyman; he faces Normala Sudirman again in 2026, a rematch of their 2011 contest.[3][2]
